Dr. Shabbir Alibhai graduated as an MD with honours in 1993. In 1996 he completed Internal Medicine at the University of Toronto and in 1998 he completed a subspecialty in Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Alibhai obtained his Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology in 2001. He is a staff physician at the University Health Network and an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. His current research interests focus on geriatric oncology, in particular prostate cancer and acute myeloid leukaemia. Dr. Alibhai has published several articles in the areas of geriatric oncology, heart disease, elder abuse, and medication education.
