Your 56 year old patient has difficulty with single word comprehension and makes non-sequiturs in conversation, but she is otherwise able to drive a car safely, run errands, and continue playing tennis at the club. Her husband thinks she is having some memory problems; he has difficulty disentangling that symptom from some insistent repetition of phrases and her not really understanding his responses to questions.
